Yes, but can the poor person who has taken on the responsibility
of managing the list, and who finds him or herself with more work
than was bargained for? It is, generally, a volunteer effort.
We really aren't talking about mistakes here. They are forgiveable.
Lack of regard, and lack of effort at learning how to participate
properly, are not things that should be tolerated.

I have written myself a small procedure which deals with any
_listserv_ business, so that I don't even think about sending
a message to listserv through regular mail. I use regular mail
only for list content material. Two separate functions, ergo
two quite separate processes.
