EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION AVAILABLE AT 40TH STC ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The Society for Technical Communication's (STC's) Employment Committee will
sponsor an Employment Information Booth at the 40th STC Annual Conference,
Post-Conference Workshops, and Exposition to be held June 6-10, 1993, in
Dallas, Texas. Notebooks containing employer job openings and employee resumes
will be available in the Exposition area located in the Grand Ballroom of the
Loews Anatole Hotel according to the following schedule:

Sunday, June 6 12:00 Noon - 5:00 p.m.
Monday, June 7 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 8 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Whether you come to the Conference or not, your resume or job posting can be
included in the Employment Information Booth notebooks. Just follow these
guidelines:

MAIL JOB POSTINGS AND RESUMES TO THE EMPLOYMENT COMMITTEE BEFORE MAY 15

Print job postings and resumes on 8-1/2 x 11 inch paper (double-sided is ok).

Mail 15 copies of your job postings or resume to the Employment Committee
before May 15 (before May 1 if mailing from outside the United States).

Job Seekers: If you have a geographical preference, write it clearly in the
upper righthand corner of the resume--otherwise it will be placed in the
"Anywhere in the World" notebook.

If you will be available for interviews at the Conference, write "At the
Conference" in the upper lefthand corner and highlight the words.

When you arrive at the Conference come to the Employment Booth, find your job
posting or resume in the notebooks, and write your hotel name and room number
in the highlighted area.

OR, BRING JOB POSTINGS OR RESUMES IN PERSON

Bring 15 copies of your job posting or resume to the Employment Booth.

Place the copies in a sheet protector and add to the appropriate notebook.

INTERVIEW ROOM AVAILABLE

The Peridot Room on the mezzanine level of the Loews Anatole Hotel has been
reserved for interviews. There will be a first-come, first-served sign-up
sheet in the Employment Booth for use of this room.

EMPLOYMENT BOOTH SERVICES

The Employment Booth will be self-service. In addition to notebooks containing
job postings and resumes, there will be a message board and message paper.
Someone will visit the booth frequently to replenish popular job postings or
resumes.

If you desire copies of all job postings sent to the Conference, please send
a stamped ($1.10 postage in U.S.), self-addressed, large (9 x 12 inch)
