Hi Lin,

This thread about âlong pressâ from last November is related:

http://www.techwr-l.com/archives/1911/techwhirl-1911-00021.html

The Apple Style Guide has positive and negative usage examples for âtapâ and includes a detailed argument about not using âtap and holdâ but âtouch and hold.â

Best,
Thorsten

Hi all,

I apologize if this has been discussed recently but I am getting ready to teach a class and am writing documentation for my students. I just tried looking this question up using Google, Amazon, and Microsoft and couldn't get a good answer.

I know when to use Select vs. Click, but are we including tap now? If I know my writing could or is definitely going to be accessed by phone, I'd say yes, but if we aren't sure, what's the general rule? We're going to be creating responsive HTML output for some projects, BTW.

Does anyone have an opinion?
