On the subject of document collaboration, I let the document float around to all the reviewers to collect their responses. I know from experience that the document will absorb some level of corruption along the way. That's Word. To reduce the corruption, I pull out my original version and manually add the changes before publishing the official version.ÂWill Husa sent this message from his Verizon wireless deviceÂ

In effect, my issueis, when I define a style, I want it to stay defined exactly how I definedit. I don't want to have it indent on me, If I define a bullet with a .25indent, I want it to STAY indented .25 and not change on me. If I make aline a bullet, I don't want the whole F'ing document to turn bullet.I WISH I could make this place an FM shop, but there is just too muchdocument collaboration needed here and even I can't see the overalladvantage. Thanks guys.-- John Posada^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Visit TechWhirl for the latest on content technology, content strategy and content development | https://techwhirl.com^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^You are currently subscribed to TECHWR-L as will -dot- husa -at- 4techwriter -dot- com -dot- To unsubscribe send a blank email totechwr-l-leave -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- comSend administrative questions to admin -at- techwr-l -dot- com -dot- Visithttp://www.techwhirl.com/email-discussion-groups/ for more resources and info.Looking for articles on Technical Communications? Head over to our online magazine at http://techwhirl.comLooking for the archived Techwr-l email discussions? Search our public email archives @ http://techwr-l.com/archives
