Subject:Re: Ray Cummings and Thomas Edison From:Gene Kim-Eng <techwr -at- genek -dot- com> To:yehoshua paul <ysp10182 -at- gmail -dot- com>, tech2wr-l <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Tue, 5 Nov 2019 07:53:10 -0800
Cummings edited the Edison Laboratories internal house organ. His first
story was published the same year he left Edison, so it's likely that he
took the job with Edison to pay his bills while he was writing fiction
and trying to get it published.
As for what inventions he wrote about, probably everything that came out
of the Edison Laboratories during his time there, but as internal news
articles rather than technical documents.
