If "setup" is a verb, as it seems to have become, as in "We have to setup the test run," then it becomes possible that layout is one as well. Try asking your vetoovering person if setuping (or setupping?) is also a favorite word.

Somehow that grates on me. In some cases I don't mind allowing for personal
likes and dislikes, and I have even adopted some word choices that I used
to dislike. But this word, for some reason, is hard for me to stomach.

Comments? Suggestions?
