I initially thought of rewriting to avoid the issue; but then I thought: no need to be afraid of using legitimate words, just because they sound unfamiliar. Users will totally understand what "troubleshot" means, so why use a phrase when one word will do it?

Seriously ... "troubleshot" seems awkward, so I would just find a more elegant way to word whatever I was trying to say.
