I do not when I stopped hyphenating "email"; I'm not sure it was in this 
century. I don't know if I ever capitalized "web." "Internet" is 
different, though. There are "internet technologies" and there is "the 
Internet." When internet is not a proper noun, I do lowercase it. When I 
refer to "the Internet," I have capitalized but only out of habit. I do 
not capitalize, "the country" but I have capitalized, "the President" 
because that is what I learned in grade school. Modern trends do not 
capitalize "president" or "the president" quite as much as they used to. 
I assume that the English language use of some capitalized proper nouns 
is a hold over from German.
