the NYIT campus in Old Westbury Long Island (not know your location of
course) offered, at least at one time, a certificate program in
Advanced Technical Writing.
My question is similar but slightly different. I currently work in the
technology industry but want to go the technical writing direction.
Since I
am new to the game are there any courses, classes or certifications you
would recommend for a n00b such as myself? I already have a bachelor's
degree in psychology and an associates in network security but want to
make
my resume more tailored to the technical writing career. Any advice is
appreciated!
Thanks!

This is pretty good too -- a year old (and similar reference), but it's
linked on the AWS cert site:

Ha, I can't say I'm surprised that AWS certification would be one of
the
most valuable. I documented installation of our platform in EC2 and
it's
second only to Oracle in terms of gnarliness. It's good stuff and even
pretty well documented, but there are many, many different services
that
interact in complex ways. I ended up using a lot of screen shots since
it
seemed easy to get lost.
