Git explicitly supports merging in Git, which addresses the big
problem docs people often have with it. I'm not sure any other tech
does authoring tool that does yet.
Personally I'm still biased toward Subversion. Avoiding problems with
Git's distributed management of branches requires every developer to
strictly adhere to the established workflow. And getting the workflow
procedures exactly right will probably take a few iterations.
