I probably should have mentioned that the certs inquired about would be *in addition to* the STC and MadCap certs.

The STC cert would probably cover the actual tech writing requirement.

Although, this looks like a nice alternate.

Perhaps I can phrase it to folks in this way, and I invite you to indulge a little: If you had free rein, what cert would you go for?

Particularly in the Medical Device industry / FDA regulatory. (The AMWA certification is not quite right for us.)

Also, what about from a data management / content management standpoint? Any IT or semi-developer type stuff that would be appropriate?
