I have to develop a white paper in Word. I have figures in this white paper
that I would like to x-ref. I have a numbered style set up as Figure <n+>:
This style auto-increments every time I insert it into the document and it
includes the word "Figure" and the colon after the number. When I set up an
x-ref in Word, I select Numbered item for Reference Type and then for Insert
Reference to, no matter if I select just Paragraph Number or Paragraph
Number (full context), the x-ref includes the colon.
For example, as shown in Figure 1: <insert my text here>.
I don't want the colon displayed in the x-ref. I want it to be as shown in
Figure 1 <my text here>.
How can I do that in Word or am I limited to using bookmarks and hyperlinks?
