Hi Keith,

Gene's method is close to what I use -- I base it on an annual number of
hours rather than a monthly figure.

The number of hours I use in the calculation is less than 2000, because I
also subtract from the 2000:
* 5 days (40 hours) of sick leave per year
* N days (x hours) of state and federal holidays per year
