At 63 I still get contacted a lot for contract gigs at decent rates, but not the kind I really want (short-term or part-time work that leaves me enough free time to watch our fruits, veggies and flowers grow). I was actually getting more of those before the economy started to pick up again.

And I don't think the local market here in Portland can support a high enough rate to persuade me to go full time again; that would require something that also pushes my "this looks like it would be a lot of fun" button.
