Without getting into specific personalities or candidates, after 20+ years in various "start-up bubbles" (and I would argue that each start-up represents its own "bubble"), running for political office and launching a start-up have similarities: you attempt to persuade investors to get on board with big talk about what you intend to achieve while talking as little as possible about how you will achieve it, and your investors gamble that you actually know you are talking about and can really deliver.

The failure-to-deliver rates are probably pretty similar, too.
