Current industry standards for Process Flows

Hi everyone,

We are having a small discussion at work between the technical writer group and another group â and we are trying to find the current industry best standards for process flows, specifically numbering of swim lanes and/or process flow boxes.

BPMN, which is one standard, does not number the flows or swim lanes.  But does any other group?
