So long as the relative paths are the same for all the files, there's
usually no problem in moving them to a new path.
HOWEVER, FrameMaker has some bugs and design limitations specific to
working directly with files on a network drive. If the new server has
a different OS or OS version, or uses a different volume type (e.g.
NTFS instead of FAT), or any of the permissions are missing in the new
system, you might encounter problems.
Why not just stop doing that and switch to a source control system
such as Subversion?
