I belong to several STC groups, the main Society of Technical Communication,
STC Atlanta, the Lone Writers, Technical Editors, Consultants and
Independent Contractors, and the Accessibility SIG. Non-StC groups that are
usually active and interesting that I follow include Technical Writer in
Action, Documentation and Technical Writing Management, Technical Writer
Forum, and Technical Writing and Content Management. There is even a group
called Technical Writers Sharing MS Word Tips, but it is not very active.
Interestingly enough, the IT Tech Writers group that is affiliated with
TechWhirl seems to have more spam get rich quick messages than any of the
Margaret Cekis, Johns Creek GA
