I've known for years that agencies don't care for anything other than getting their cut. The problem is that I'm doing contract work and it's pretty much all only available through agencies. There are several large employers in my area that pretty much only bring in contractors and their master vendors put the requirements out to a boatload of agencies and it seems like the agencies that I've worked with in the past and respected are no longer on the lists. So knowing nothing about the dozen or so agencies that contact me, it's just poke and hope.
