Confluence's XHTML source isn't passed to the browser, it goes through
a lot of transformations. For example, this source:

<th>property</th>
<th>type</th>
<th>default value</th>
<th colspan="1">notes</th>
</tr>

is transformed into this:

<div class="table-wrap"><table class="confluenceTable"><tbody><tr><th
talk-marker="1" class="confluenceTh">property</th><th talk-marker="2"

class="confluenceTh">default value</th><th colspan="1" talk-marker="4"
class="confluenceTh">notes</th></tr><tr>
