There is a converter but I do not have it. I thought that it might be worth
me trying that, so I want to get one.

BTW the crack is indeed along the narrower part, and it is kind of in the
middle. The contact section looks ok.

The insides I do not really know. Looks like a thorough break all the way
through.

It is not in two separate pieces yet == the crack has nearly separated them
but a very slight bit of the skin keeps the two parts together for now.
I've also put some duct tape on it to prevent further -and final -
rendering into two.
