Next DOTX question - numbering section headers

Word 2013

If I have a Heading 2 subsection like this:

       *2.1 Something or Other*

Is it possible to have the remaining subsections autonumber as 2.2, 2.3,
etc., *after* the body text has been added?

That is, if I have multiple subsections and then start moving them around
during the editing process, can the subsection renumbering be automated?
