As none of the other respondents have considered that your task is based on
your previous message where you are required to import from Pub to Word,
I'll spitball with a techie solution that may or may not work.
Find out how much RAM is allocated to your Win7 VM and double it. My Win7
VM was dog slow until I loaded it with 2GB RAM. I'm considering upping it
to 4GB once I get a new 16Gb RAM MacBook Pro.
As far as your other colleagues thinking you're not doing your job, ask
them if they have the budget for you to rebuild the docs entirely in Word.
Then you can use the text transfer method and reformat.
There used to be a program called SolidConverter that did a great job
converting PDF to Word, and maintaining visual formatting, but as it was
all layout-based the documents weren't so easy to edit later.
