Possibly "Stupid question" time.

Here at my office, many of us have been left alone to remain with our good buddy, Windows XP.

But alas and much to my (and lots of other people's) dismay, the powers-that-be are now bumping "up" everyone to Windows 7. (Because of the nature of our work and deliverables, Windows 8 is not even a consideration.)

At home, same story. That is, time to sorrowfully let go of Windows XP and get Windows 7.

But how many installations of Windows 7 is one allowed per Windows 7 purchase? The reason for asking is that I've got two desktop terminals and one laptop computer at home that require this servicing, and all meet at least the minimum hardware requirements.

I know that Adobe allows two installations per license purchase, one on an office platform and another on a home platform.

So what's the story?
