That might be true for advanced mathematics; even my most "technical" tech
writing job never required me to dig back into my college differential
equations courses, though I expect there are some jobs that would. But
even the least "technical" projects I've ever had required some kind of
math, even if it was just preparing budget proposals and hours reports.
