The plan is apparently to limit work on Thunderbird to stability and security and not on "innovating," which probably makes sense because there hasn't been much new anyone would want to do to email clients in a while.

I'm hoping they eventually reintegrate a mail client back into Firefox the way it used to be in Netscape.
