I agree completely. Content on Techwr-l gave me my first information about
the wide world of technical writing, and has always been a superior source
for learning more. The only advantages STC offered were the chapters and
SIGs, which provided a way to network more directly. Those advantages have
been very minor more recently, although many volunteers have done their
best to keep things going.
I too offer my thanks for Al, Connie, and Eric efforts. Even more,
bemusement at how they have managed to do so much so well, while so many
corporations with tremendous resources managed to do so little so poorly...
