I'm using RoboHelp 10 to generate WebHelp. The generated WebHelp is then attached to our application for our end users.
In our application, when the user clicks a Help button, a WebHelp topic opens. We are using a direct call to the topic, as described by Mr. Grainge here:
The help topic opens without the navigation pane or the toolbar. That's OK: the user can then click a link at the top of the page, which will open the navigation pane and toolbar. When the user clicks the link, the pane and toolbar do indeed appear.
However, if the user is using IE9, a strange problem occurs. In the Help window, a "double frameset" also appears: the content for the appropriate help topic is stacked on top of the Welcome topic! A vertical scroll bar is also added. This problem is discussed here:
That Adobe forum is a bit old (2011). So here are my questions:
1. Have any of you also encountered this problem?
2. Any solutions? (Other than those mentioned in the above-mentioned Adobe forum....)
BTW, if the user is using Firefox, Chrome, or Safari, this problem doesn't occur (at least not for us in our situation)...
