Hello, Victoria:

For Windows 8 app design, try
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh779072.aspx. This
will at least tell you what MS is calling its components.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh465424.aspx will give
more details.

I don't believe there is yet a Win 8 version of the User Experience
Interaction Guidelines, but I have read that the Win 7 version is still
valid for desktop apps. You can get that at
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=2695.

Bon appetit!

Has anyone out there had to start documenting anything for Windows 8 yet?
It's starting to peek over the horizon with some of my projects, and I'm
trying to see if there is yet any standard way of dealing with it.
