I'm with Chantel here.

When I'm trying to be funny, or I think I am being hilarious, that's when people tend to stare at me in a serious manner.

OTOH, when I'm being serious, people tend to start laughing and tell me I'm hilarious.

Like beauty, humor is in eye of the beholder. And like beauty, humor must be handled care.

I'm not in the market, but if I were, I'd opt for a traditional resume and point to a web page that has a mix of serious projects and anything that could be construed as being funny. If I used humor, I'd probably do something that would be very mild, very middle of the road - and I'd use it sparingly. I'd probably make it integral to the sample that I'm trying to show so that even if a person didn't like my sense of humor, they'd be interested in what I can do (hopefully).

Now, if I were truly funny and every time I opened my mouth people laughed, I'd play to my strengths and use more humor. But I'm not. If I make people laugh, it is usually unintentional.
