Your original message referred to XSD. XSD is a W3C standard.

I would say something like "if your XSD conforms to the XML Schema
Specification you should not experience
Parsing failures as a result of an update."

(Actually I hate the whole paragraph you quoted, but that is the language
I would use for that one part.)
