Re: "migrating" anchored callouts - Word 2007 - SOLVED
SOLVED !!
Well, I guess if I'd tried as many things before as I did today, I'd have fixed this literally years ago. Oh well.
The solution is: anchor the callouts to the caption (because it's never the first paragraph on the page since it's always after the image-containing paragraph) *AND* select the Lock Anchor option.
Now why one would ever want an anchor to not be locked I can't imagine. Nor can I explain the migration occurs only when the anchor paragraph to which switches to/from the first para in the page.
But this seems so far to be working :-).
