I'm taking a class in FrameMaker. My team has a project that consists of a book of 8 separate files, plus a ToC and an Index. We've got the page numbers to number sequentially across all files in a book, but we can't seem to figure out how to get the figure numbers to number sequentially across the book - each file starts with figure 1, and then numbers sequentially within the file. We're using the tag f:Figure (n+) for our automatic figure numbering. We could get them to number by section number (1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2) but we don't want that... we want them to number 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on.
Can anyone help me figure out what the automatic numbering tag or variable should be?
many thanks!
-becca
