I believe Debbie's trouble comes from using standard "quote" markers to identify a "button" and, since "quotes" have their own special rules within grammar, then they are only going to exacerbate the matter.
Sharing a similar problem, and not being tied by a company style manual, I was able to set my own standard and now use the [button] and tell users touch [Set], to open the menu, and select [Enable] to confirm the task.
At least they look like buttons and it doesn't get dragged into the "quotes" dilemma.

I know that we just had a fun punctuation question, but I have one and I wanted to double-check with the group.
I'm working with a client with the convention of placing Buttons in Quotation Marks -- Click "OK"
So, I believe in this case the period, or comma, would go outside the Quotation Marks.
Comments needed ASAP. I want to change this convention, but can't at the moment.
