Hi Monique,

If your section name is "What is <concept>?", then I'd think it isn't a "how to" topic, and therefore does not explain "how to.." anything. Can you possible try rewording the sentence and using a run-in heading, something like:

What is <concept>...Defines <concept> and provides information on how you can use <concept>, thus avoiding the use of excessive punctuation?

I had a second thought. Our style guide avoids the use of any
punctuation in headings whatsoever. That would solve the problem. ;-)
