Maybe nevermind about Audacity isn't warranted?

I've been using a Samson C01U USB mic with Camtasia and I was frustrated with the quality. Even the highest quality setting in Camtasia was producing undesirable results. So I switched to using Camtasia to record my screen activity, and Audacity to record the audio from the mic. I was blown away by the difference in sound produced from the same microphone using Camtasia vs Audacity.

Cheers... Rick :)
