The content remains yours, but if you want to transfer it to another platform you'll have to extract it and re-format using QXP 9 or some other e-book creator. Either way, if you want to sell your content via iBooks and any other platform, you'll have to either re-format from some other platform for iBooks, or re-format from iBooks to the other platform.
