Ah yes, the context: this is a Best Practices doc that explains to my client's clients how to best use the tools, and in this case we definitely want the non-technical, marketing-oriented implication of "lending credibility".

(That'll teach me to post a question right before leaving my desk for several hours :-).

Thanks, much, everyone -- I really like how our discussions end up covering so many topics, even for things that I initially imagine to be simple yes/no answer sorts of things.
