If you're willing/able to set up your own system, you might consider a "cloud" based provider like Rackspace. We moved over about 3-4 months ago, and I'm very pleased with the way it's turned out.
But, don't consider that option unless you're able to set up what you need from a relatively bare Linux (or Windows if you must:) platform. They have lots of good information, but you need to take on more of the sys admin responsibility than you would with someone like Bluehost or Host Gator (but, you also have much more control). (Actually, you can have them do some of the admin, but then the pricing goes well above what you'd pay with Bluehost or Host Gator).
