Ah, the good old days.
While I'm happy to have moved on from rekeying typewritten text and slicing my fingers open while doing paste-up, one downside to current production technologies, is that I see more and more typos and misused words in my daily (national) newspaper; stuff that spell-check misses, but that a copy editor would never let by.
