Hi Bobbi

Unfortunately there isn't an Adobe product I'm aware of that works like Microsoft products do and allows you to save in an older format. Basically it's a one way street. Once you upgrade a project it is expected to remain in the upgraded format. However, I'm wondering if that really applies to 8 and 9 because things are so similar. I've not tried "downgrading" a project yet. I'll have to try it out and see what happens.

Certainly if you use any features specific to the newer version you cannot expect the same features to work or even survive the downgrade trip, but it may be possible. I'll have to try it and report back if I'm successful as well as advise what I did.

Cheers... Rick :)

Does anyone on the list have any experience with transferring files between
RoboHelp 8.0 and RoboHelp 9?
Does RoboHelp 9 have an option to save files as RoboHelp 8? (Similar to
Word's Save As function).

And, does the transfer between files work as well as one would expect?

Thank you.
