Craig: Turn off receiving sound over your remote connection. Then start the
recording making sure you are recording to a local drive (on the computer
you are remoting into) that is not the same drive that Audacity runs on.
Then immediately minimize your remote window to prevent screen updates. When
you maximize the remote window, immediately stop the recording. If your
transmission delay still causes problems, record using either the Windows
sound recorder, freecorder, or similar tiny software, then import into
Audacity for modifications.

I can start Audacity from my work desktop just fine when I'm on site. But
when I'm working remotely, and I try to start it on my work desktop, it
crashes repeatedly. I'm trying to perform remote audio recording of an
onscreen process I need to document, but I'm not making any progress.

Cordially,
