The NIH's MedlinePlus site
(http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/mplusdictionary.html) links to a
Merriam-Webster definition that uses "Bx," but I've seen papers in
which bx was used that weren't skewered in peer review.

Most lab forms I've seen use "BX."
