The actual answer is:

- Proportionally-spaced fonts (most word processors): Use one space.
- Fixed-spaced fonts (like typewriter): Use two spaces.

This rule doesn't apply when formatting code samples. Follow the usage
practices for the language. For instance, *nix fstab configurations
require tabs, not multiple spaces. Who knew?


Make sure you ask them about their hyphenated noun cluster and serial
comma policy. That ought to be a hoot.
