Have you considered the RD (Referenced Document) feature in word? You keep the mini-reports as their own documents and combine them for book-building, TOC, and indexing purposes.

Okay, I have a report that has several mini-reports in the document as appendices.

Here's the issue - while I would rather simply place a link to the secondary reports; the group I'm writing the document for wants the appendices in as is.  This includes formatting.

How do I keep the report formatting intact while inserting it into another document as an appendix?  I'm having severe issues trying to figure this one out.

Working in Word 2007.
