I'd like to know if the results will be available to ALL STC members,
or only to members of STC-India? Will this survey be posted publicly
on the STC-India web site?

Since off-shoring has been having a direct impact on US technical
writers, it would be nice to have some accurate data about what Indian
technical writers are charging/earning for their work. Presumably the
whole point of the salary survey is so that Indian writers can get a
feel for what those in the industry are earning so they know if their
salaries are in line or not. Which usually leads to under-paid
writers asking for competetive wages.

At some point writers in India will start charging similar rates to
writers in the US, and maybe we can go back to hiring based on skill
rather than who has the lowest price. (Hey, I can dream, can't I?)
