If you honestly estimate your time and only accept tasks that you can accomplish
within the sprint, what's the problem? I *know* you aren't letting them bully
you into taking on tasks you have no chance to complete. You're the one in
charge of your time, and you're supposed to choose the tasks you can honestly
accomplish.

What if there were 30 writers and only one developer? Would the writers be able
to force the developer to implement more code just because they documented the
features? Or would the developer simply say, "This is what I can do in the
allotted time, and nothing more." Somehow, I think the latter.

Don't blame SCRUM. Either blame yourself, or blame management -- whichever is
responsible for piling too much work onto your shoulders.

***************************
I really like it at first! There was one me, one tester, three teams, and about
a dozen developers. Docs were part of the DoD and I thought it was a great way
to be on top of every new or changed feature.

Now there are 7 teams, about 30 developers, 6 testers, and still one me. OK, I
exaggerate, we have a contract writer, but she is dedicated to one team, and I
still have to support that team. And she is leaving soon.

I am going to campaign for more writers, but in the meantime, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kathee
