Subject: Problem with Word 2007 x-refs
Lucky me, I'm writing a document in Word 2007, which I haven't used in
awhile. When I make a cross-reference to a heading that has a page or
section break before it, it looks fine until I print it or regenerate
the TOC. Then the cross-reference has a page break in front of it, too!
This is not playing nice! I remember that several years ago I had the
same problem with an earlier version of Word, but later it seemed to be
fixed. I know that I could sometimes fix this problem by replacing the
cross-reference, but that doesn't seem to be working now.
Any tips? As I said, I tried replacing my page breaks with section
breaks (which I don't always want to use that way) to no avail. The only
thing I can think of to do is deliver the document as a PDF, but for all
I know it will break when I create the PDF, too! Haven't tried it yet.
