First....I'm using a Windows XP (SP3) laptop with 4G RAM and Office Home and
Business 2010. So, with that out of the way....the problem is I have a file
(287 pages) that I can make a PDF only using Word's new built in PDF maker.
Adobe's PDFMaker nor ABBYY PDF Transformer 3.0 will go through the motions
and then nothing.... It ends the conversion, but doesn't go the last step to
create and display the PDF. The main problem is the PDF created by Word has
all the links, but I cannot get Adobe Acrobat 8.1.4 Link Tool to open the
Properties box and change the links to Blue Underlines. I would upgrade to
Acrobat 9.0 Professional, but according to some of the Google information I
read, Adobe and Microsoft still have communication problems. I can't see
spending money to buy an (expensive) Adobe product if it won't solve my
problem.
Has anyone else had problems with Office 2010 and PDF files?
I know FrameMaker and probably even InDesign would be a good solution, but
those solutions are not in the financial picture.
Thanks
