Technical Communication, so easy a caveman can do it.
Chris, If I understand your original post correctly, you aren't
insulting your fellow employees, you're actually disparaging the style
requirements of your employer. Every writer in the group is required to
write at a "sub-human" level, but you're finding it difficult to do
this.
This could prove that your co-workers are actually more clever than you.
They must have developed an intelligence-dampening electromagnetic field
and installed it at their work stations. That way, they can write at the
prescribed level but still be able to walk - erect - to the copy machine
and figure-out how to clear a paper jam.
I suggest that you write in your normal fashion, then edit your work by
removing any present-tense verb over two syllables, any non-technical
noun over three syllables, every adverb, and any adjective unless it is
absolutely necessary.
Better yet, pretend you are texting but spell-out the words........I'm
serious!

Subject: Distinctive writing style obfuscator
When compared with others in my present place of employment, I have a
distinctive writing style. Would any of you know of a Homerific software
utility that dumbs down text, making it appear as it may have been
written
by a neanderthal? Something like a ransom note, without all of the
requisite
paste-up work.
